Remember this clown?
10 years ago today, on December 9th, 2008, Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich was arrested for trying to sell Obama’s Senate seat once he became U.S. President. Blagojevich was convicted and sentenced to 14 years in federal prison.
Feeling old yet? We know he is…
Well, President Trump has responded to Obama’s fiery speech today by telling people at a fundraiser in Fargo, North Dakota that he fell asleep during it.
So there’s that…
Back in his home state of Illinois, former President Barack Obama unleashed a blistering critique of the current administration in attempt to fire up the Democratic base ahead of the crucial, upcoming November mid-term elections. A rarity for a former president to bash a sitting president, Obama may have sensed a little blood in the water this week and responded with a scathing attack for these rare times.
The Republican National Committee responded to Obama’s criticism by saying “President Obama stepped back into the spotlight to make the case that our country is on the wrong track.”
“2016 is over, but President Obama is still dismissing the millions of voters across the country who rejected a continuation of his policies in favor of President Trump’s plan for historic tax cuts, new jobs and economic growth,” RNC spokesperson Ellie Hockenbury said in a statement. “Democrats may have a new resistor-in-chief on the campaign trail, but they’ll need more than a message of resist and obstruct to win this November.”
Still, with quips such as “How hard can that be, saying that Nazis are bad?” and “Or to explicitly call for the attorney general to protect members of own party from prosecution because elections happen to be coming up. I am not making that up. That is not hypothetical.”, Obama attacked with gloves off.
In a week that saw contentious Supreme Court hearings, a devastating book by Bob Woodward, a defiant anonymous op-ed in the New York times and a public rebuke of the people of Montana that failure to vote could lead to his impeachment, Donald Trump has had one hell of a disastrous week. Obama is merely the cherry on top.
Dignitaries rip President Trump during eulogies for late Senator John McCain during official services in Washington DC. Trump reportedly was holed up at a golf club during the proceedings.
In all seriousness, how bad of a person do you have to be that people use their EULOGY at a FUNERAL to attack you?
