San Antonio Mayor and former Secretary Of Housing and Urban Development under President Obama, Julian Castro, announced today in a Rolling Stone magazine interview that he is strongly considering running for U.S. President in 2020. He joins a crowded and growing list of potential Democratic contenders including former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Senator Cory Booker, Senator Kamala Harris, former Attorney General Eric Holder, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti.

Just what America needs – a President Castro. That’ll go over well in Miami…

25 years ago today, on October 15, 1993, not one but THREE excellent films were released:

the surprisingly good suspense film “Judgment Night” starring Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Denis Leary

the cult classic holiday favorite from Tim Burton “The Nightmare Before Christmas”

the sports movie favorite “Rudy” starring Sean Astin.

Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren released results of a DNA test today to prove that she had Native American lineage. This comes in the wake of President Trump repeatedly ridiculing her claims and labeling her as “Pocahontas”. The DNA analysis indicates that she has Native-American ancestry β€œin the range of 6-10 generations ago.” The Cherokee Nation responded to the results of Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test on Monday, arguing that β€œa DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship.”

I don’t know. We believed her ever since she appeared on our container of Land-O-Lakes butter…

Sunday Night Football Note

We would be remiss to mention that last night’s Sunday Night Football game between the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs was perhaps the best game of the NFL season so far. A back and forth game, the Patriots ultimately prevailed with a late field goal 43-40. The Patriots showed they are still the team to beat in the AFC and the Chiefs, though putting up a good fight, earned their first loss of the season. We have a feeling you may see these two teams play again in the post-season.
