We’re No Angels (In More Ways Than One)

Lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek is under fire for comments he made in a Vogue magazine article where he stated that transgenders would never walk to company’s fashion show because it’s supposed to be a “fantasy”. Razek would further elaborate that the Fashion Show is primarily aimed to the market that they sell to…

Of course, in our sensitive, snowflake culture, these comments were deemed offensive. Razek would later apologize on Twitter:

“My remark regarding the inclusion of transgender models in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show came across as insensitive. I apologize,” Razek said in a statement. “To be clear, we absolutely would cast a transgender model for the show. We’ve had transgender models come to castings… And like many others, they didn’t make it… But it was never about gender. I admire and respect their journey to embrace who they really are.”

You know, there’s an obvious joke sitting in plain sight about what Victoria’s Secret truly is, but we won’t go there…
