The Dallas Cowboys today sent their 1st round draft pick in 2019 to the Oakland Raiders in exchange for Wide Receiver Amari Cooper.
This one’s a head scratcher for Dallas. Amari Cooper hasn’t shown All Pro form since the 2016 season. He drops way too many passes and just does not have the lightning moves any more which made him a star. Couple that with a quarterback in Dak Prescott who can’t throw (you’ve got quality Wide Receivers on Dallas already in Michael Gallup, Allen Hurns and Cole Beasley who he can rarely get the ball to) and you’ve got one big waste of a trade. Adding insult to injury, first round draft picks are usually top caliber talents.
Jon Gruden and the Raiders front office have to be laughing all the way to the bank.
