Boy, a lot of money has been thrown around the NFL in the past week. A day after the Los Angeles Rams made Aaron Donald the highest paid defensive player in league history, the Chicago Bears shockingly trade two future first round draft picks to the Oakland Raiders for all-star pass rusher Khalil Mack. Then a few short hours later, Chicago awards Mack with a contract extension of $141 million dollars over 6 years with $90 million guaranteed AND $60 million of that 90 to be awarded just for signing the contract. Mack now becomes the highest paid defensive player in NFL history. Donald’s record lasted 24 hours.
