New York Mets slugger Yoenis Cespedes’ season is over. He will undergo two heel surgeries for calcification on his feet, the team announced Wednesday. Cespedes is expected to miss eight to 10 months as he recovers, although there is a possibility his rehab time will be longer. In the midst of a 4 year, 110 million dollar contract, it is very possible the recovery period will take him nearly to the end of the deal. Cespedes, 32, has played just 38 games this season, but he still has nine home runs and 29 RBIs.

We won’t need to look for Mr. Cespedes any more…we know where he’ll be – on the disabled list for the foreseeable future…
