Well, our favorite spoof target returned to the Mets lineup Friday night and hit a home run in a 7-5 victory over the crosstown rival NY Yankees. However, after the game, Cespedes announced that he is considering surgery for calcification in the heels of his feet. The veteran outfielder said the root of his medical issues this season is from the heel ailment that has plagued him for years and that he was considering surgery, which would mean an 8-10 month recovery process. After returning Friday, Cespedes has been held out of the lineup two straight games, though he offered to DH on Sunday and was told no.

Throw in the fact that Noah Syndergaard was put on the disabled list today for Hoof and Mouth disease and it’s just been one dandy season for the Metropolitans…
