In the 1993 Clint Eastwood film “In The Line Of Fire”, the villain played by actor John Malkovich plans on assassinating the president. He plots to do this by creating a gun made of hard plastic that could be easily disassembled and would be virtually undetectable. At the time, it seemed like a pretty far-fetched idea.

Fast forward to 2018 and it was announced today that Americans can legally download 3-D printed guns starting next month. Gun-rights activists have reached a settlement with the government that will allow them to post 3-D printable gun plans online starting August 1. Do-it-yourself firearms have been nicknamed “Ghost Guns” because they don’t have serial numbers and are untraceable. The ability to build unregulated and untraceable guns will make it much harder, if not impossible for governments to ban them.

Let’s pray they don’t fall into the wrong hands…
